Vibe Coding: Moving from "Tool User" to "Asset Builder"

Last week, I canceled two major projects to clear my schedule. Why? Because I realized we are in a critical window. The train is leaving the station, and if you are still debating "which AI tool is better," you are going to miss it. This isn't a tool update; it’s an Identity Update. I’ve been using Vibe Coding—using natural language to build software—to turn my team’s "Tribal Knowledge" into "Digital Assets." The first target? The messy world of Influencer Marketing.

Last week, I made a counter-intuitive decision. I cleared my calendar.

Not to relax, but because I realized that if I kept myself busy with "Business as Usual," I would miss a fleeting window of opportunity.

It feels like standing on a platform as a high-speed train pulls in. You can stand there analyzing whether the train is diesel or electric, or you can get on the train.

The train is Vibe Coding.

1. What is Vibe Coding? (It’s Not About Code)

"Vibe Coding" sounds like a buzzword, but it’s a shift in physics.

Definition: You use natural language to articulate a problem so clearly that AI builds the solution (App, Workflow, Script) for you.

I’ve built several internal tools recently using this method.

  • The realization: It’s not just about efficiency. It’s about Agency.
  • The shift: Tasks that used to require an entire department now require one person with a clear brain.

The Brutal Truth: Future jobs won't disappear, but the number of people needed to do those jobs will shrink.

2. The First Target: The "Influencer Calculator"

Why did I start with Influencer Marketing (KOL)?

Because it is a cesspool of "Feelings" and "Vanity Metrics."

  • The Problem: Brands spend thousands based on follower counts and "vibes."
  • The Result: They get a nice screenshot at the end and have no idea if they made money.

We used Vibe Coding to Reverse Engineer the logic of our senior marketing directors and turn it into a tool: The Influencer Calculator.

3. The Logic: From "Guessing" to "Math"

We don't rely on miracles; we rely on probability.

Here is the logic we encoded into the tool to predict revenue before we sign a contract.

Step A: The Leading Indicators

  1. Reach: Follower Count $\times$ Reach Rate (Small accounts: 20%, Big accounts: 10%).
  2. Engagement: Likes/Comments (Benchmark: 2% interaction rate).
  3. The "Page View" Conversion:
    • FB Like X 2 = Page View.
    • IG Like X 1 = Page View.
    • YT View X 3% = Page View.

Step B: The Revenue Formula

{Page Views} x {Conversion Rate (1-2\%)} x {AOV} = {Predicted Revenue}$$

Step C: The "Survival Line" (Breakeven)

We visualize the Profit & Loss (P&L) structure:

  • COGS + Variable Costs: ~75% (Shipping, Ads, Product Cost).
  • Gross Margin: ~25% (This pays for your team and rent).
  • Rule: If the Influencer asks for a $50k fee, you need $200k in revenue just to break even (at 25% margin). If the math doesn't show $200k on the right side, don't sign.

4. The Negotiation Protocols

We programmed these strategies into our workflow:

  1. Commission Only: For those with proven sales power.
  2. Flat Fee + Rights: If paying a fee, we demand 3 months of ad usage rights. We slice their video into ads. If we don't amplify it with ads (2x-4x the fee), we lose money.
  3. Hybrid (Fee + High Commission): Lower the risk, share the upside.

The "Vibe Code" Magic:

We turned this logic into a software tool. Now, a junior employee can punch in a YouTuber’s stats and get a "Go/No-Go" recommendation based on our P&L rules.

Conclusion: Experience became Asset

This is the power of Vibe Coding.

We didn't just build a calculator. We took the Judgment of a Senior Director and encoded it into a System.

  • Before: If the Director is sick, deals pause.
  • After: The System runs the logic 24/7.

The Warning:

In the AI Era, the most dangerous position is to have no problems worth solving.

If you cannot articulate a problem clearly enough for AI to solve it, you are just "Labor."

If you can, you are an "Architect."

Start today. Pick one messy, expensive, "feeling-based" process in your company. Use Vibe Coding to turn it into a math-based asset.

Once you start, you won't be able to stop.
